Diagnostic Placement Tests provide an easy way to assess student levels in phonics/phonological awareness, vocabulary and reading comprehension based on grade level skills. Assessments are designed to help teachers determine a students level of proficiency in reading at the beginning of the school year and to provide a baseline for measuring growth. Teachers will be able to use this information for their instructional planning. Tests are designed to be administered to a group of students and can be done over more than one sitting. Tests include multiple choice questions and have three sections. Phonics section includes 10 questions. Vocabulary section includes 15 questions all in sentence context. Comprehension sections includes 25 questions on both fiction and non fiction reading selections. Student answer sheet is included.
