Engage students when learning about the Pilgrims and Indians that celebrated the first Thanksgiving together with these 10 activities. Activities are split between Pilgrims and Indians and included comparing the first Thanksgiving to our own Thanksgiving today, writing from an Indian's or Pilgrims' point of view, drawing an Indian village, and researching the role the Indians played in helping the Indians.

Teaching Tips

Create a Thanksgiving Social Studies center that includes all 10 of the activities. Write the directions on index cards and have them laminated so they can be used year after year. Students can choose what activities they want to complete. Give time at
