Some volunteers are very comfortable working with students; others are not. Some are comfortable doing clerical work; others are not. With this form, collect contact information from your volunteers and find out what they're comfortable doing when they're in the classroom. If you find out that a parent is not comfortable working with children, you may want to schedule that person during social studies and science time rather than reading time, when you want as many adults as possible working with small groups. Conversely, if you find out that you have a parent who is not comfortable doing clerical work, schedule that person at a time when they can work with students.
