(Sung to "The Farmer in the Dell")

I have a bell to sell.
My bell is really swell!
Just ring it for attention,
And you'll never have to yell!...

Build beginning reading skills with this catchy song, sung to a familiar tune, that targets the -ell word family! Includes teaching tips, word cards, and more!

Teaching Tips

Before singing the song, introduce the target word family to children. First, point to the letters in the phonogram and say its sound aloud. Have children repeat the sound of the phonogram after you. Then explain that the song will have many words that end with that sound. Try working with the group to list some words from the word family and have them predict which might be in the song, judging by its title!
