Product Details

Have children use the multiplication and division wheels to practice basic facts. To use, a child turns the equation plate until the cut edge of the pizza plate lines up with the section for the desired equation. For multiplication, the child counts the exposed dots to find the answer to the equation. He or she counts the number of exposed sections (or slices) to find the answer for division. To check each answer, the child turns the wheel over and looks at the number just below the answer label.

Teaching Tips

Give children a supply of beans and the multiplication or division wheel. Ask them to set the wheel to an equation and determine the answer. Then have children count out a quantity of beans equal to their answer. (For division, they will group the beans in sets.) To check their bean count, instruct them to place one bean on each exposed pepperoni on the wheel. Afterward, have children remove the beans and check the back of the wheel for the answer.
