Teaching Tips

Provide a short explanation of traits prior to using this organizer. Discuss specific children’s traits, to personalize the concept. Have children work in small groups to complete an organizer together.

Use this resource on your interactive whiteboard.

Display different character traits at the bottom of the organizer. Have students drag a trait that fits their character into the traits section. Then have students provide proof for each trait using evidence from the story.
