Product Details

Encourage children to bring in photos or magazine pictures of wild animals. (Or have old issues of nature magazines on hand.) On the bulletin board, make a “Winter Friends” graph with three columns labeled “Stays Awake,” “Hibernates,” and “Migrates.” Help children mount their pictures on the graph in the appropriate columns, and discuss what each animal does during the winter months. Children may need help researching the behavior of some animals.
